Practical Atraction - A Personal Journey #2

Well life has been interesting as I continue to work to get myself into the vibration that will create abundance for me. The past couple of weeks I have had some experiences that have been almost euphoric in feeling, learnt a lot about the place I think I need to be and had battles with my feelings as I struggle to maintain the state of “feeling good”.

Recently I have had some days where I have felt buoyant and good, almost to the point of euphoria. I have been able to stay in the moment of now and release fear of calamities that could enter my life. When thoughts of things I didn’t want began to enter my mind I was able to move to the outcomes I wanted and find the feeling of allowing these things into my life. In short I have been able partition myself from those thoughts that generate fear and only think of things the way I would like them to be.

It is a curious feeling to live not based on the reality you have been brought up to believe but to move to that life you desire. I have found that there is always a part of me that wants to move back to security of those thoughts of fear and worry, which are “old” friends. To not be full of fear, when the possibility of calamities entering your life exist, is truly a new experience for me and I have to guard against spiraling downwards into m old thought habits.

In fact it has happened that I have become overcome with fear and it has felt like a battle to get back to feeling good, as those negative thoughts are well practiced and very persistent. I meditate every day and this is a powerful tool to neutralise fearful thoughts, but still I have good and bad days and it is one of my goals to be able to maintain calm and well being even in the most trying of circumstances. It makes sense that since you attract what you think, then if you maintain positivity, even in the most difficult circumstance, then you only attract positive things.

On of the things I try to daily is to read a part of a book or a quote because often they will remind you of an important point that you may otherwise overlook. The other day I found something profound in a daily Abraham quote I receive by email.

“The realization that something is not as you want it to be is an important first step, but once you have identified that, the faster you are able to turn your attention in the direction of a solution, the better, because a continuing exploration of the problem will prevent you from finding the solution. The problem is different vibrational frequency than the solution – and all thoughts (or vibration) are affected (or managed by) the Law of Attraction.”

Abraham.

This resonated with me, as it is contrary to the way most of us deal with difficult situations. Most of us when faced with a problem, wrestle with it. Focus upon the negative aspects and the effect of it. Obviously this generates vibrations which are more likely to perpetuate the situation. Therefore looking for a positive vibration makes perfect sense if you are wanting to create a solutions.

Positive vibrations to you all at this festive time of the year!

Practical Atraction - A Personal Journey #1

As I have written previously, I am manifesting money for bills and debts, which are becoming increasingly urgent in their need to be paid.

It has been a journey in excruciating ebbs and flows of negative emotions.

There have been times when I have felt calm and positivity in which I held strong feelings of expectation and an openness to allow my desires to manifest.

Conversely there have been times when the negative emotions have left me feeling fractured and terrified of the out come. A long time student of meditation using crystals, I have had to use them frequently to calm my fears. All my old habits of negative thought over ran any positivity I felt. It was also interesting that at times I felt calm, I also felt this uneasiness that I wasn’t feeling all the stress and unease that I had usually felt in this situation. And so consequently I would start feeling stressed again. A real paradox!

During the calm periods I received a number of strong intuitive flashes.

The first flash was:

Ignore the consequences. That is, don’t focus on the calamities that may occur if you don’t pay your obligations. Focus on staying in the moment and feeling good to allow your desires.

Detach from the outcome. Don’t emit feelings of this must happen, as this promotes a feeling of lack which will hold your desires away from you. This is part of allowing.

Be free of fear. Stay in the moment and focus on feeling good. Fear will hold your desires away from you.

Allow the flow…..head downstream. Allow the flow of life. Once the divine has been invoked you must allow it to bring your desires to you. Be ready to receive.

Let the money flow out. Like breathing, it must be allowed to flow in out. Fixating on keeping what you have is focusing on the perceived scarcity of money and will slow money coming to you. You must have a strong expectation of receiving.

What vibration do you want to emit. When you are feeling fear is that what you want to emit. Listen to your feelings. Choose a better feeling thought!

Further to this, I have found that as I monitored my feelings I could detect my base feeling. That is, the one which I emit by default. It is the one that I carry around all day, which has grown from all the experiences and lessons I have had over the years. It’s full of “I can’t do that.” And, “that won’t happen to me. That happens to other people who are better than me.” Also, “Your just totally ungrounded if that’s gonna happen!”

These feelings and thoughts are the enemy. This is the belief system that is bringing all the things you don’t want! Monitor your feelings. Choose confident and optimistic thoughts! Choose a great life!

Have fabulous manifestations!

The Law Of Attraction Sales Warrior - At the Coal Face 8

Continuing on from last week, I am currently allowing the manifestation of money that I require in my life. I am concentrating on staying in that place that is expecting this to enter my life. I am also focusing on feeling on good as this will show I am in alignment with my higher self. But in looking for a better thought each time fear or uneasiness approaches I found myself in unusual place. A place where I questioned, why I was not feeling fear and ill at ease place as this has been the norm in the past

It seemed most unusual and showed that in difficult situations I expected to feel overwhelming anxiety and nervousness. Instead here I was moving my feelings to a better place by choosing a better thought. It showed to me how habitual this decent into anxiousness had become.

I suppose if you analyse this it shows what I have been habitually creating in my life. There have been a number of occasions in my life where I have virtually run up the white flag of surrender because I have not been able to cope with the overwhelming fear that I have felt. It shows I have created as I have felt. A great deal of negativity

I believe this change signals a move to more positive manifestation in my life!

Manifest a great life!

The Law Of Attraction Sales Warrior - At the Coal Face 7 - Allowing

Today I want to continue talking about allowing. Rather than continue with my sales based examples, I would like to talk to you about my struggle with manifesting money. For sometime money has seemed scarce to me. Rarely has there seemed to be enough to do the things I want to do in life, as I have lurched from one bill to another.

Now I find my self once again with significantly less money than I need and have been struggling for sometime to manifest what I need. I have found this process has thrown up all sorts of negative feelings about money. From, “I never have money!” To, “I never earn enough money.” And continues with, “Bills always come at the wrong time!” You get the idea.

The dead line for this money is near and I have been trying to conquer thoughts of all the scenarios and consequences that come to pass should I not receive the money. Florence Scovel Shinn in “The Game of Life” talks of

“ perfect faith” which dictates that once you have asked for your desires, th all your thoughts should be on receiving the manifestation, not planning an alternative action should the manifestation not be received. She has lots of great little stories to explain and illustrate this. And it has some logic to it that if you asking source to bring a particular thing, then thoughts of any sort of alternative, demonstrates you do truly expect the desired result and yet it is this expectation which is key. Also I believe there is flow involved in manifestation and so any “earthly interference” disrupts this flow.

And so today I have gotten my feelings into a place of expectation. I have used the statement I wrote of last week. “What if all this is resolved and this problem of not having money just melts away?”

Now I feel calm and relaxed and received the thought, “There is nothing more important than feeling good” and this situation demonstrates to clearly the importance of this statement. I have found in my sales process that this attainment of calm is important and has always brought success to me and this all feels right in this moment of time.

The Law Of Attraction Sales Warrior - At the Coal Face 6 - Allowing

The experience I wanted to talk about today was a situation I had with a customer. He had ordered a group of appliances for his kitchen and all were ready for collection except for his cook top, which wouldn’t be available for 2 weeks and his kitchen was being installed as we speak.

On Monday afternoon I attempted to talk a manager about what we maybe able to do to solve the problem. Just as she became available, a client returned and used up all my remaining time for the day. Tuesday was my day off, but I resolved to come in next morning to fix the problem before it got out of hand.

So there I was driving to work on my day off, running later than I had planned, due to a minor disaster at home, and whining in my thoughts about having to do so and imagining the struggle I was about endure to get this customer his cook top. Feeling all this negativity building up with me, I decided this was not the way to go and remembered similar occasions where instead I had thought, “What if the problem was solved? What if it just melted away and I could get on with enjoying my day off?”

Good feelings rose within me and I felt much better as I held onto this thought. Soon I arrived at work, collected the information about the customer, including a brochure on the cook top than I needed to source. I went up to the manager and she saw the brochure.

“Do you need one of those?”

I then started to pour out my tale of woe when she interrupted me and said.

“ He was in this morning and I managed to get the warehouse to allocate him one as some of the other customers who have bought them, don’t need them for a few weeks.”

Problem solved! It just melted away! Amazing!

If I am guilty of anything it is to too often to forgetting to release my negative thoughts and move to a better one and allow the universe to act. The outcomes can be amazing and life is so much better!

I think that problems have a kind of density to them that makes it easy for us to hold on to. We rationalize them. We examine them we whine about them and generally magnify their vibrational strength.

So, next time you find yourself going over and over something problematic.

Stop!!!!!

Think. “What if…………..”

Feel the relief and release it to universe. Don’t force any more thoughts about your desires. Trust the universe the universe to handle it. Now check how you are feeling.

Good? Move on with your day.

Negative? Look for another thought until you feel relief.

I think this releasing to the universe, that is allowing, is the thing we all have the most difficulty with as we are taught to tackle problems. Wrestle with them and persist.

For many this process of release would seem far too passive. Maybe even a cop out. But if you can find the feeling of trust in the universe your desires will be answered.

Allow yourself a wonderful life!

Graham.

The Law Of Attraction Sales Warrior - At the Coal Face 5

After 5 days off I am invigorated again and experiencing good energy. This week I have again been focusing on quotes “Manifest Your Desires” by Esther & Jerry Hicks. In particular: “It is not possible to stand still, or be stuck, because Energy, and therefore, life, is always in motion. Things are always changing. But the reason it may feel to you as if you are stuck is because while you are continuing to think the same the thoughts, things are changing – but they are changing to the same thing, over and over. If you want things to change to different things, you must think different thoughts. And that simply requires finding unfamiliar ways of approaching familiar subjects.” This resonates with me because when seeking to create positively I often end up in the same old place. “Nothing’s happening. I can’t do this.” And guess what. Nothing does change! The time I have had off work has been great and I am feeling good. I find when I am tired that my connection to energy wanes and it is much harder to move from where I am to choosing a new thought. I find I can get stuck in negativity a bit and this was the reason I chose to take a few days off, because I knew I was struggling to feel good when I chose a new thought. But the energy is back and I am feeling positive. This quote is important because it explains why many of us struggle to create positively because many of old thoughts the create our “reality” are deeply entrenched and are hard to move. As an example of changing thought patterns, I have been playing a game with myself when I have driving my car. A gentle and sensitive person I unfortunately seem to grow horns once I get behind the wheel. I am a safe driver these days but I am prone to get impatient and some of this has to do with my keen interest in motor racing and so I tend to treat driving my car like being in a Grand Prix and try to cover the distance required in the shortest possible time, whilst staying with in the speed limit. So this leads to a bit of swearing and derogatory names flung at other drivers. What I have been doing is adjusting my thought from the position of: “Get out of my way. I’m in hurry.” To: “Smooth, safe and calm.” Every time the aggression begins to rise, I move my thoughts to: “Smooth, safe and calm.” The effect on my driving is dramatic. I now flow with the traffic, retain my calm, which obviously makes a safer driver, who still seems to take the same amount of time to get to places. In the context of my selling I have found my set point thoughts to be: “I’m struggling because of the poor economy. If it wasn’t for that I would be doing well.” “Sales are hard to come by.” “I can’t earn what I want.” It’s pretty easy to see where I am going to end up with thoughts like that! So I am moving to: “I am a great sales person.” “I always attract sales easily.” “I am one of the top sales people in the company.” I find the difference palpable. On the days I remain calm and hold these thoughts then things always go well. Recently there have been days where it has been very quiet for most of the day and then I have made sales late and gone home happy. If it is quiet in the morning and I am beginning to feel a bit negative about how the day is going to be, I choose: “It’s not how you start. It is how you finish.” And: “I often make sales late in the day.” I find these help me allow sales to come to me. Once you think: “It’s a dead day.” Or you start thinking about telling your partner you’ve had a lousy, as I have done on occasion, you are interrupting the flow and it will certainly turn out as you expect. Move to more positive thoughts and reap the rewards! Happy selling! Graham.

The Law Of Attraction Sales Warrior - At the Coal Face 4

I am currently in the middle of having 5 days off work as I have taken a couple of annual leave days attached to my regular days off. I took these days off because I have a new rotating roster in which I work 6 days, have 1 day off, work 6 days have a day off and then have 6 days off in the next 14. I don’t like it very much and compared to my old roster where I had consistent and evenly spread days off, I find it taxing and that it wears me out. Thus the leave days off to have a breather and freshen up. But I kind off wonder whether fatigue is produced as much by my continual discontent with the roster and me persistently thinking that the roster is tough and that I find it tough to make it through. I am always thinking, “ It’s tough. It’s unfair. I don’t like it. It wears me out. My energy feels low.” You can see the frame of mind or tone this creates. And the result has been that in the last day my sales have been very poor and I have really struggled. My results have been similar to most other people in the store, as traffic has been very quiet, but in the past if I have maintained a positive tone of expectancy I still achieved good results inn these circumstances. So this brings me to my point. Is my situation the result of my negative thoughts and tone? I was thinking about this today, as it has been a key goal for me during my days off, too bring the positivity back into my life. Then it came to me. The tone of our thoughts has an impact on the life we create on short term basis as I have described, but also we actually have an underlying tone to our lives all the time. Those inherent thoughts that creep into minds all day every day and form a major part of who we are. “ I’m not very well off.” “I haven’t got enough money.” “I’m OK at my job.” “I’m not good at sports.” “ I can’t control my weight.’ “I eat too much.” “I’m always sick.” “I catch every bug that’s going round.” “ I’m not one of the popular people.” “Good things never happen to me.” “I never win.” Of course hopefully you carry some positive thoughts as well, and I sure some people carry a greater number of positive thoughts than negative. “I’m good at this.” “My work is enjoyable and rewarding.” “I have plenty of money to enjoy a great holiday.” “I buy new clothes all the time.” “I always change my car over every 3 years.” “I always look and feel great.” “I am fit and healthy.” “I always do well.” “I am a champion.” I found it an interesting exercise to watching these thoughts as they came along. What you will find is there is a general tone, which is the balance between the positive and negative. Are the thoughts a greater degree in the positive? Or are the weight of thoughts in the negative? If we believe that our life is created via the LOA then this balance will dictate whether we are experiencing positive or negative creation in our life. Another way to look at this is imagine you had three dollops of paint. One dollop is a primary colour like blue and the other two dollops being black dollop and a white respectively. If black represents negativity and white positivity, so as you add more black, so does the tone darken. Conversely as you add more white the tone brightens. And so it is with our thoughts. As we offer more positive thoughts what we create is positive. And conversely with more negative thoughts we create in the negative. And so our role is monitor that underlining tone and move to lighter and brighter thoughts that will bring us our desires. My personal tone is not very positive. It includes struggle, hardship, low expectancy and compromise. By adopting more allowing thoughts I expect to receive my life desires.

The Law Of Attraction Sales Warrior - At the Coal Face 3

Last week I mentioned that I find I have to keep finding news ways of focusing on LOA so I continue to progress and so I am always looking for stimulus that makes me feel good in the current moment. This week I re-discovered “Manifest Your Desires” which is an Abraham-Hicks book with 365 quotations that focus on deliberate creation that had been sitting in a drawer. The quote that first stimulated me was:

“ What you think and what you get is always a perfect vibrational match, so it can be very helpful to make a conscious correlation between what you are thinking and what is manifesting in you life experience, but it is even more helpful if you are able to discern where you are headed even before you get there. Once you understand you emotions and what your vibrational offering has been, you can tell, by the way you feel, exactly where you are headed.”

This quote resonated with me as I looked back on my life and examined the sort of thoughts and feelings I have carried during my life and the resultant struggle, difficulty and lack of prosperity that I have experienced. It made perfect sense. Lacking confidence and constantly fearing the worst has brought me a life that I would like to dramatically improve.

Another quote that caught my interest was:

“ Once you understand that the way you feel indicates your level of allowing or resisting, you now hold the key to creating anything that you desire. It is not possible for you to consistently feel positive emotion about something and have it turn out badly, just as it is not possible for you to consistently feel bad about something and have it turn out well – and the way you feel will tell you if you are allowing your natural Well-being or not.”

And so I vowed this week to focus on thoughts that evoked positive feelings and it seemed clear to me that the thoughts I have been carrying in my life have not been delivering what I desire. They included:

I’m always a good middle performer
I never seem to be able to earn as much as others
Opportunity never seems to come my way
I’m very sensitive and this makes my life difficult
I can’t do that
To be the best you have to be aggressive towards others
I’m not aggressive
I’m too nice
I can’t afford that
We always get bills at the wrong time

You get the idea.

So I put the book of quotes in my drawer at work and when it felt as though negative feelings were beginning to emerge I read a couple of quotes and focused my thoughts on the outcomes that I desired and was able maintain good feelings.

The weekend was positive with me achieving good results once again with a couple of excellent deals just emerging out of nowhere. The best example was when I was about to make a phone call to a client a gentleman very politely came and asked if I could help. “Yes. Of course.” Then he proceeded to spell out a list of goods that they wanted to buy and $8000 later I had double my daily budget. Great!

These sales generated feelings of euphoria within me and so I spent most of the weekend high as a kite!

Monday was the end of the month and I managed enough sales to achieve my best results ever! Tuesday was amazing in that I was quite flat as it was my 6th day at work in a row and it reached 3pm in the afternoon without making a sale. I took a couple of minutes to focus on my desires for sales and low and behold within the next hour I made 3 sales! Then at 5-20Pm, just before closing one of my colleagues came up to me with a couple I recognized. This was a sale he had agreed to split with me as we had both served them which brought my total for the day to over $7000. A great start for the month. I think it is going to be a good one!

The Law Of Attraction Sales Warrior - At the Coal Face 2

am sure there are people who are wondering why I am devoting so much time to the use of Law of Attraction in the process of selling. The reasons I have chosen to do this, is to firstly develop the process. Secondly it seems the results from ones thoughts come quickly and often. Lastly I believe these lessons can be applied to other areas of life quite easily.

Many of the Blogs and forums I read, people are not receiving their the desires when they have chosen to apply LOA principles. They read books, listen to tapes and still their desires elude them. Then it dawned on me this week why this situation may occur. We humans are driven to find a process. A sure fire way, that if we follow it to the letter, the results we desire wii be recieved. You know the way. Follow steps 1, 2 , 3 & 4 and hey presto the desired result is achieved. But I feel that LOA is far too dynamic for this to occur. I often find that I try something and get results. Then when I attempt to follow the same process again I struggle to get results. I find I keep having to refine my thoughts and actions.

One of my favourite authors is Florence Scovel Shinn and she said, (loosely as I cannot find the exact words) “Man’s work is within.” With this she is referring to the control of ones emotions. Abraham talks about “choosing a better thought”. For me this indicates that it is not about following a set and rigid process, but constantly being aware of ones feelings, which are a key indicator of whether we are creating negatively or positively.

In context to this, last week I wrote about an exciting day I experienced. Today I am going to share some frustrations when things didn’t go so well.

The weekend is our busiest period in the store and it is important to achieving a good result, that you make good sales over the weekend. Last weekend was a struggle for me because I battled with my feelings.

One of my colleagues, who is the leading sales person the store, on Friday asked my to take care of a couple of clients for him as he was having the weekend off. I agreed to this, as we have an understanding that when the circumstances are reversed. he would do the same. Which he has done on a number of occasions.

First thing in the morning I had to write a credit for client who had cancelled their items and so I started the day in minus. Not a good start. My colleague’s first client came in. A small washing machine sale and I was able to complete it without much stress.

Soon the second client arrived and by this time the store was now full of customers. This client was a bit more difficult as they wanted me to demonstrate all the appliances. Also it was to be purchased on finance, which made it complicated and time consuming. As we went to sit and write up the deal I noticed face that I recognized, later realizing this was someone I had spoken to about a full set of kitchen appliances 2 weeks previously.

After an hour the deal was wrapped up and we headed to the cash desk to finalise the payment. There at the desk was the face I had briefly recognized paying for $6000 work of kitchen appliances with another sales person. Damn! A great opportunity lost.

The people I was dealing with were delightful and finally they went happily on their way, but my resentment to the amount of time I had spent was rising.

I always try and work on the basis of “there is enough for everybody” and by staying open and positive sales often seem to come to me magically, as I described last week. But the resentment was stuck in my stomach. No matter how many deep breaths or new thoughts I chose the lump of anger and resentment remained. Damn!

I went and had lunch to try and calm down to no avail. I approached a number of people with no luck. Finally I managed to find myself in the moment and calmed down and sold a stove, which countered the credit I had written in the morning. Now I was only $100 in the negative.

By this time the store had thinned of customers and it seemed my day was done and so it was. I walked out of the store disappointed and upset, vowing for a better result the next day. And it was. A lovely lady returned with her husband to make a good size purchase and that combined with a couple of small sales gave me a reasonable day.

Monday followed with a distinct lack of clients and I was able to ponder my weekend a little and came to the conclusion that I arrived at work tired on Saturday because I had stupidly played games on the computer until
12-30am. I was resentful of myself because I was not feeling good or positive and that seemed to paint the colour of the whole day. Also for the previous 2 weeks I had been holding the feeling of being in the top 3 sales people in the store. Up until this point I had held this position but I had lost focus on this feeling and subsequently my performance had slipped. When I return to work tomorrow this is certainly and area I intend to refocus on.

So you can see how important the tone of your feelings can be in allowing your desired creations into your life. Negative feelings including anger and resentment can have a large impact on what you receive in your life and so work on this area as proposed by Florence Scovel Shinn can bring great results.

The Law Of Attraction Sales Warrior - At the Coal Face

I’ve been banging on for the last 8 weeks about LOA and sales and I’ve probably been boring you to tears. So I’ve decided to take a different approach today. I am going to tell you about my day at work yesterday. Hence the new title! I arrived at work after my usual stop at the nearby park to meditate for 20 minutes and was feeling positive energy as a result, although I was a little concerned as I hadn’t as much sleep as normal, as I had got caught in a poker game in Facebook (no money, just points) which I have become addicted to. When I awoke this morning and I had a strong flash, “no more trying, just allowing” which I had made note of and intended to observe for the day. What this meant to me was to let go. Let life flow instead of trying to make LOA work, which is where I often seem to end up. I was also mindful of a quote from a Blog by Just-Sandy. “Abundance is about lovingly accepting WHO and WHERE you are IN THIS MOMENT. It is focusing on all that you have and not losing yourself in all that you don’t have. Today will bring you a new awareness, a lesson or a manifestation that you are making progress- IF YOU LOOK FOR IT.” And so when I arrived at my desk I took moment to be thankful for I where was and what I had in this moment. For those who don’t know, I work in a large electrical appliance retail store, spending my day talking fridges, washing machines, fridges and other things to customer. Alot of the time it is enjoyable and I find I find it a lot less stressful than my previous jobs. The store has had its moments since the Global Financial Collapse with trade varying between almost not existent to very good, but I have found the more positive I am the, the better I do. That is, don’t get bogged down in other people’s winging and whining about the lack of customers. It was a slow start to the day and so I did the exciting chores like cleaning all the stock. But the lack of customers in the store was hard not to notice, especially when one of my colleagues noted that there were no customers in the store. I checked what I was feeling and I was calm and noted that customers often come later in the day and this was not the time to get panicky. I checked my folder of current orders to ensure they were all up to date and came across an invoice from one of my recent sales which was of high value. I remembered the feeling I had when I made this sale and it was good. So I decided to look through some of my recent top sales. Each time I noted the joyful feeling that came from making the sale. Now I was feeling very good. About ten minutes later I turned around from checking stock on my computer and there was a customer with the cutest little girl running amok amongst the washing machines. A dryer. “Wants it today. Can we negotiate a price. Yep. Done!” There’s that god feeling of success. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” I had been hoping to have lunch around this time and so after letting my colleague know I was going for lunch I headed toward the lunchroom to get my stuff because I thought I would go and enjoy the sunshine outside. But oh darn. There’s a couple looking at fridges which I have topass on the way to the lunchroom. “Hi. Want some help? Yep.” A nice couple looking for a new fridge for their family of seven! Firstly we start looking at fridges that will fit in the current space they have. Price around $2000. But no they’re not keen. “Can we look at something bigger?” Now we’re at around the $3000 price mark. Things are looking good! Nice but not over enthused. “What are these Liebherr fridges? Liebherr make cranes don’t they?” The husband asks. “Yep. And components for the Airbus A380. The Mercedes Benz of fridges.” I said noting that we’re now in the $7000+ price range. “Nice!” I thought. “But let’s not get ahead of myself. They’re only looking. Stay in the moment.” By now the husband was lovingly stroking what is by my own admission a pretty awesome fridge. That is if fridges can be awesome. “Move a couple of cupboards?” He asks the wife. She nods. “Not a problem he says.” Once again lovingly stroking it as I go over more of the features. “A brochure?” “Sure.” I said. He heads off for a smoke outside as the wife asks me about what we can do on the price. “Rats!” I thought. A brochure means not buying today but I dutifully go and get one and give the wife a ballpark for the price and she wanders off to look at ovens. Shortly he comes back. “Price.” “Yep. Can we do better?” “Order today? Deposit?” “No worries!” Soon, we are at my desk doing the invoice. “Look. You finish that with the wife. Need a TV. Going to look for a TV and DVD player. See you over there.” “Fantastic!” To cut along story short we end up with $8500 in sales and me getting lunch at 3-45pm in the afternoon. But who cares. $9000 for the day, (budget is $4000 per day) on a quiet day in the store. I’ll take that any day of the week! And so it goes with the LOA. When you are in alignment amazing things happen. Out of the blue great sales arrive. Easy high value sales. It is almost unbelievable and the feeling is great. I must say that recently I have been focusing on how I see myself as a sales person. I was the middle guy. Above average, solid and reliable sales person. But not spectacular. I realised that I had made a law for myself. I wasn’t a star. That was for other people. Now I say, “Why not? I can be great!” I now actively see myself with sales in league with the top 2 sales people in the store. I have also been remembering how I felt in my previous job where I was in the top 2. It seems to be working. I am 78% of my budget with 9 selling days to go for the month and looking good!

The Law Of Attraction And The Art Of Sales: Part 8 - Staying in the Moment

Staying in the Moment

In an earlier blog “Trying is Resisting” I wrote:

“Yoda was alluding to trusting the force. Being connected. Trying is our earthly effort. Trusting the source to deliver is doing of the highest order. And so in the process of creating sales or any of our other desires, once we are attempting to make it happen with action we actually block its arrival. We are resisting. We are no longer trusting the source to create. We instead have decided to give it a little earthly help along as we no longer expect our desire to be fulfilled.”

So how do we prevent ourselves from resisting the arrival of our desires?

I think trying comes about because as we focus on our desires we notice our lack. So we move to overcome this position of lack which we have move from our desires to focusing on the lack of what we desire.

To overcome this we must stay in the moment of now. Focus on all the positives in our lives. Appreciate what we already received. Be thankful. This has now moved us back from lack to the positive of what we have received. We are no longer resisting. We can now allow.

In terms of sales it means not focusing on how far behind budget, or how much the “star performer” has sold. It means appreciating the sales we have made. It means focusing on the positive feeling making a sale creates. It means focusing on feeling good and allowing sales to came to you. I have found if you remain focused on feeling good right here and now the most amazing sales will come to you. Some of the best sales I have been made on days when everybody is bemoaning the lack of customer traffic in the store. I always try and remove myself from this and it has transpired on a number of occasions that I have made great sales.

The Law Of Attraction And The Art Of Sales: Part 7 - Thinking, Feeling and The Expectancy Scale

Thinking and Feeling

As I have written this blog, a paradox of how we see our thoughts and our feelings has emerged for me. Modern society prides itself on rationality. The process of thinking. That is, making things happen through our thoughts, is king. Any reference to feelings and emotion is painted with the thick brush of irrationality. Abraham tells us that our feelings are actually a compass by which to guide us. We create our life through our thoughts. We attract into our life those things that are a matching vibration to our thoughts. Our feelings indicate which of our thoughts are in alignment with our higher self. Positive feelings indicate alignment. Negative feelings indicate lack of alignment. So true irrationality is to separate our thought processes from our feelings. To live without paying attention to our feelings is akin to sailing the oceans without a compass. The chances of getting lost become very high. And so as we know the key to deliberate creation is to follow the guidance of our feelings. “How do I feel?” I have found the key to consistent sales is to remember to look to the compass of my feelings. The times I fail to take note of what my feelings are indicating is the time I drift into poor results. I believe one of the key things to note in your feelings is your level of expectancy and for me this is one of the issues in manifesting your desires with the Law of Attraction. For your desires to materialize you need to use your thoughts to define your desires, regardless of what maybe going on around you in the physical world. Picture abundance and prosperity whilst the bills still pour in. Feel the money in your hands as you go to pay those bills even though the wallet maybe bare. The key indicator in your feelings is what do expect? You’re visioning paying your bills but deep down in you stomach is a little weed of fear. The fear of no money. The fear of the debt collector ringing you. The bank foreclosing on your house. This out of alignment you're your higher self, which only knows prosperity. You are still in the fear of lack and it is hard to manifest from here. A little device I have developed to help overcome this is the “Expectancy Scale”. The idea is to identify where your level of expectation is in relation to manifesting your desires. Once we have identified where you are with your feelings you can then choose a new thought to move you to a greater level of expectancy for the manifestation of your desires. Expectancy Scale Depression Pessimistic Melancholy Ambivalent Hopeful Expectant Belief When navigating, it is important to work out where you are before mapping where you are going. And so with the Expectancy Scale. By taking a few seconds to ponder your feelings and workout “where you are at” you can choose a better feeling thought to where you want to go. Often you will find feelings about desires are hopeful, as this position of many of our desires. By moving our thoughts to the position of belief, that is, I have received my desire and I am swimming in this feeling of being, you are moving towards deliberate creating. Hence you may start the day hoping you make sales. Move to thoughts and feelings of lots of customers coming to you and an easy flow of sales. Now you are deliberately creating and achieving great results. Next: Staying in the Now

A Practical Use Of The Law Of Attraction: Creating Sales Part 6 - Trying is Resisting

Trying is Resisting

My favourite movie quote is Yoda from one of the Star Wars movies. Sorry I can’t remember exactly which.

“No try. Just do.”

All that talk about using the force just looks spiritual to me. Isn’t it that we are all trying to align with our higher selves, which could easily be construed to be the “force”.

“Trying”, as Yoda was alluding to, is the single biggest blockage that we all face in manifesting our desires. In the Abraham-Hicks book, “Ask and it is Given”, manifesting desires is given as a 3 Part process.

Step 1: (your work) You ask.

Step2: (not your work): The answer is given.

Step3: (your work) The answer, which has been given, must be received or allowed (you have to let it in).

Trying is related to step 3, allowing the answer.

Modern business life is all about action. Set your goal and go for it. The process of allowing is far to a passive concept for modern management. Instead it is akin to waging a war. Marshall the forces to the goal and apply maximum effort.

This the method most sales people use. Talk or see as many people you can. Apply maximum effort and push like crazy to convert prospects into sales. All this effort equates to trying.

As I have applied the Law of Attraction to creating sales, I have found that, after meditating in the morning and being clear on my desires, often first thing in the morning a customer would walk in and say I’ll have one of those and so by 9-20am I had made my first sale! And often the process would happen again and maybe even a third time so by 10-30 Am I was looking good. The only trouble was that I wouldn’t stay open to the process and allow sales to be attracted, but instead start looking for the next sale and thinking about a number I was going to do for the day.

I was no longer open and free, presenting a positive vibration to customers. I would be pushy and fearful of not making the sale. So it transposed for a period that I would make some good sales in the morning but not doing anything in the afternoon. I had begun trying.

Yoda was alluding to trusting the force. Being connected. Trying is our earthly effort. Trusting the source to deliver is doing of the highest order. And so in the process of creating sales or any of our other desires, once we are attempting to make it happen with action we actually block its arrival. We are resisting. We are no longer trusting the source to create. We instead have decided to give it a little earthly help along as we no longer expect our desire to be fulfilled.

It is paradoxical that that which appears passive it vastly more powerful than the exertion of all our earthly efforts. Remain open and expectant of receiving your desires and you will be truly rewarded.

The Law Of Attraction And The Art Of Sales: Part 5 - Chakras and the Law of Attraction

Chakras and the Law of Attraction

It was probably 20 years ago that I first read about the Chakras in a book by Shirley McLaine and I can’t help remembering what a load of rubbish I thought it was. It’s funny how experience changes our perception and so it has been with the Chakras in my life.

About 10 years ago I went through a period of un-wellness, not describable by my regular medicine and resistant to naturopathy and I would just go to bed for 5 days with only a desire to sleep. These bouts went on for about 18 months until a friend referred me to a spiritual healer who brought wellness to me. I believe she removed blockages in my Chakras. This allowed the process of Kundalini, which is the rising of divine energy through the pathway of the Chakras to come forth. Wellness came back to my life for the most part, but this path of un-wellness is quite typical of people enduring Kundalini. I discovered crystals and began meditating with them to manage blockages and life has improved steadily ever since.

“Kundalini is both the energy and essence of life and the practice of becoming aware of it."

http://www.experiencefestival.com/kundalini

I hope I haven’t lost you at this point. I am not advocating this as the only truth, but it was my experience and it has been very compelling. If you Google Kundalini you will see lot’s of discussion of people trying to attain Kundalini and for some it is as if it's a goal in itself almost to the point of bragging its attainment somehow makes them superior.

For me I found it mostly a pain and this is the first time I have ever revealed this experience. I found that blockages of energy and a heightened experience of emotion just made life more difficult. About 9 months ago in frustration with this, I sought out a crystal healer to alleviate the blockages I was experiencing, as the spiritual healer I initially saw had retired. This proved very successful, although on a couple of occasions I was quite ill for few days after, such was the upheaval. But now I certainly feel good strong energy most of the time.

It was the improvement in energy flow that brought me to realise the confluence between the Chakras and the idea from Abraham that our feelings are an indicator of whether we are creating positively or negatively.

“Chakras, as described above, are energy centers along the spine located at major branchings of the human nervous system, beginning at the base of the spinal column and moving upward to the top of the skull. Chakras are considered to be a point or nexus of biophysical energy or prana of the human body. Shumsky states that "prana is the basic component of your subtle body, your energy field, and the entire Chakras system...the key to life and source of energy in the universe."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chakras

Have you ever thought about how you experience emotion? Being so powerful in our lives, what is the mechanics of this experience that colours our whole life?

Have you experienced butterflies in your stomach before: a final in a sporting game; speaking in public; a performance; an exam; or any number of stressful situations? This is probably the easiest way to indicate that you are experiencing the influence of your Chakras.

The third Chakra, which is located at the solar plexus has among its influences fear and anxiety. Hence when you are in a stressful situation you are feeling that horrible stomach churning feeling. This is your third Chakra at work as the divine energy transmitted up the spine to your Chakras is your higher-self indicating whether you are creating negatively.

Feelings transmitted through the Chakras can also be positive reaching euphoric at their best, but it seems to me that those negative feelings experienced have a greater “density” which makes them pervasive and persistent, hence we often hold onto them for long periods. I think positive feelings are more ephemeral. More temporary and as such, I think it is why we are more susceptible to carrying negative feelings around. I am sure you have experienced the fleetingness of joy and the persistence of anger and fear, which is why it is so important to search for a better thought and always carry the intention to feel good.

The charkas are your connection to your higher self through which the feelings indicating how you are creating is transmitted and it is well worth pursuing things such as crystals, Bach Flower remedies, Aroma Therapy and Yoga can be used to heighten and manage the effects of the Chakras so you more often “feel good’ enhancing you life and assist you to create positively.

The Law Of Attraction And The Art Of Sales: Part 4 - Setting the Tone

Setting the Tone

Abraham of says: “There is nothing more important than feeling good.”

The reason that this holds true is that your feelings are an indicator to how you are creating. Good feelings indicate positive creation as the vibrations that you are generating through your thoughts, are in alignment with your higher self. Conversely, bad feelings indicate you are out of alignment with your higher self.

I have found the key to maintaining positive creation is to set the tone of your day. I find that often in the morning it is easy to be caught in a “grump” and that I have to look for a positive view for the day. It’s like choosing the background music for your life. Light and easy. Mellow and melancholy. Rocking and invigorating. Happy and bright. The whole mood for the day can be set right here!

The way I like to do this is:

Whilst dozing before getting up, spend a few minutes thinking about what I would really like to happen today. Wouldn’t it be great if……… Then I spend some time feeling about that would be like.

Before work I set aside 15 to 20 minutes to meditate. I find this invaluable because if you are still not tuned to the right feeling this can be the circuit breaker. I think it is like re-booting your computer. All the dud files that are slowing your performance are closed or deleted giving you a clean start.

There are many, many ways to meditate, from religious techniques to high tech methods and you should find the one that suits you. To make things easy here is my “GT’s quick and eaasy method”, which is :

• Find a comfortable quiet place

• Look at each limb: Right Leg……it’s relaxed: Left Leg……It’s relaxed; Right Arm……It’s relaxed; Left Leg……..It’s relaxed: Torso……It’s relaxed.

• Now notice your breath as it flows into your chest. Out of you nose. Do this 5 or 6 times.

• Now just let your breath flow in out.
• Now, the whole point of the exercise is to not think about it. The whole point is to not think about anything and that is easier said than done. As thoughts pop into you head you should notice them and let them go.

“Did I turn the dishwasher off?” Let it go.

“ I hope the boss is in a good mood today?” Let it go.

“I hope the kids are alright at school.” Let it go.

• The whole point is to let go of all that muck we carry around in our life and just be. It will let you become closer to your higher self and does take practice and concentration. I often find that I arrive at work positive and energized whilst everybody else is bemoaning the commencement of another day at work.

This should get you started with meditation but I will go into greater depth later in my Blog.

Now you are calm. “What am I feeling? What do I want? What do I intend?”

This is the tone or the underlying feeling that you are tuning to do for the day.

“I am open to great sales today.”
“I am prosperous and abundant today.”
“I am loving and joyful!”

It is important during the day to regularly check that you are still tuned to the desired tone or feeling because the goings on in life can easily knock you off the desired “channel”.

Ask. “What am I feeling? What do I want? What do I intend?”

Re-set the tone.

I have also found that it is important to take close note of your feelings. When you ask “What am I feeling?” major issues in life such as financial problems can distort the tone. Because they are always there you feel this as normal. The worry is your base feeling, so when you think your in neutral or happy spot you maybe still emitting fear and worry. Look at your feelings closely and choose a thought to move to a better place.

By noticing the underlying your tone you can manage how you are creating. You will be surprised how often you move off the desired “channel”, to a feeling which may have you creating negatively. With a little effort and practice you can quickly move to more positive tones and have a positive, creative and rewarding life.

The Law Of Attraction And The Art Of Sales: Part 3 Mind Your Own Business

Mind Your Own Business As I have worked hard for the last 18 months to become an accomplished sales person of whitegoods, kitchen and electrical appliances one of the larger obstacles I have had to overcome is being intimidated by other people’s performances. Especially in the beginning I would be overcome by how much other people had sold for the day and all the bragging and chest beating that went with this. Our busiest day was usually Saturday and it was frenetic as the sales people swooped on the customers, trying to generate the most sales they could. Periodically we would gather around the coffee machine and compare results for the day. I found this very negative as I would focus on how well other people had done compared to me and become fixated on how poor I felt I had done in comparison. I also found it off putting when sitting at my desk, which was directly opposite the “star” sales person of the store, as he always seemed to have someone sitting there writing an invoice for a sale. My mind would race with thoughts of doom and gloom and self–admonishments of my poor performance in comparison and generally beat up on my self and worry about the consequences of not selling as much other people. As you know the Law of Attraction dictates that like is attracted to like. So obviously all these negative feelings and thoughts I was having meant this was the type of experience I was attracting into my life. I was attracting the exact opposite of my desires, by focusing on other people’s results, which highlighted my own supposed lack of success. Things I found to help alleviate this were to: • Cheer for other people’s results, as discussed in the previous blog, as there is enough for every one. • Ask. “How do I feel? What do I want?” Often the feelings we have about ourselves aren’t a good reflection of the situation. “Is it the end of the world? Are they going to come and sack me right now? Have I go lots of time left in the day to get a good result?” • Search for what I want. “What if I served 3 customers this afternoon? What if I sold $X this month? What a great review I am going to have this month.” So you can see moving to better thoughts will move you to a position of attracting positive things and therefore create a life more closely aligned to your desires. Focusing on your desires rather than what other people have or a doing is important in everyday life as well. Noticing that someone has a better car or house or whatever so that it emotes feelings of lack and inferiority is a sure fire path to creating negatively. You will continue to attract lack into your life. It is important to focus on thoughts that emote the feelings of having and completion and these should move you to feeling good which is a major indicator that your are creating positively. Often as we focus on our desires we will have thoughts that this is not real and such a result or occurrence is preposterous and all this is just not rational. This is the overhang of the “rational” world we grew up in and inhabit. It is important to focus on what you want and not the world as it seems as this is the key to deliberate creation. The Law Of Attraction And The Art Of Sales: Part 2

Although the following is focused on sales, there are many other scenarios in which these rules can be employed

There is enough for everyone.

Most people who worked in sales will agree that it is normally a “hunting” profession. That is, there’s a limited number of prospects and it is the sales persons job to get out there to hunt down and capture the limited number of sales in market. Determination and persistence are the key attributes sort in sales people. All the processes that exist are usually based on making as many calls as possible, of which a percentage will be genuine potential customers from which an even smaller percentage again will actually become sales.

This capturing of sales is exactly what occurs in the retail environment in which I work. As a limited number of customers enter the store the competition is keen. There is certain amount of polite jostling for position to gain the best advantage.

Where it becomes contentious is when a person sells to someone who another sales person claims as their rightful customer. This often happens when a sales person is having their days off and a customer comes in to purchase and is served by another sales person, who then claims the sale as their own. This practice has the ugly name of “snipping” and is the cause of most disputes within the store and has produced some ugly incidents.

When I first started I was quite consumed by this, diligently checking whether prospective customers had been sold to whilst I was on leave. But I soon found this very negative and that the more I focused on it, the more prevalent it seemed and the more turmoil it created (hello Law of Attraction!) It also seems a bit karmic. I try to be fair and honest when serving customers of colleagues as the temptation to take a client remains, but every time I haven’t been every-time honest it has backfired in my face.

So in all of this, the most important thing to remember is “there is enough for everyone”. Staying positive and open will allow customers to come to you. Focusing on the scarcity of customers, through the Law of Attraction, will bring a scarcity of customers.

So you can see that using the law of Attraction to create sales is the antithesis of normal sales practice. “There is enough for everybody” is a creative stance, which will attract customers. “Customers are scarce and must be hunted down” is negative stance and will attract the state that you do not want. Scarcity of customers.

My feelings on this is that the underlying theme of Law of Attraction is there enough for everyone. Your inner being only knows prosperity and so competition comes from the position of lack. That is, I have to compete for limited resources.

Acknowledging there is enough for everybody reflects the inner beings position of unlimited prosperity and abundance.

I experienced a similar thing recently when a new guy started at the store I work at (I'm in sales). He used to to come up every-time he'd made and sale and rub it in my face. There was a constant score tallying and chest beating about how good he was and I became very distracted and focussed on him constantly doing better than me.

I found a way of handling this was to affirm that there is enough for everybody and focus on the results I wanted. I would also internally cheer for this other guy when he made a sale. After all there is enough for everybody and his results were good for the store. So instead of focusing on my lack of sales as compared to my colleague I cheered for both of us and this allowed me to focus on the result I wanted.

Hope this helps.
