The Law Of Attraction Sales Warrior - At the Coal Face 5
After 5 days off I am invigorated again and experiencing good energy. This week I have again been focusing on quotes “Manifest Your Desires” by Esther & Jerry Hicks. In particular: “It is not possible to stand still, or be stuck, because Energy, and therefore, life, is always in motion. Things are always changing. But the reason it may feel to you as if you are stuck is because while you are continuing to think the same the thoughts, things are changing – but they are changing to the same thing, over and over. If you want things to change to different things, you must think different thoughts. And that simply requires finding unfamiliar ways of approaching familiar subjects.” This resonates with me because when seeking to create positively I often end up in the same old place. “Nothing’s happening. I can’t do this.” And guess what. Nothing does change! The time I have had off work has been great and I am feeling good. I find when I am tired that my connection to energy wanes and it is much harder to move from where I am to choosing a new thought. I find I can get stuck in negativity a bit and this was the reason I chose to take a few days off, because I knew I was struggling to feel good when I chose a new thought. But the energy is back and I am feeling positive. This quote is important because it explains why many of us struggle to create positively because many of old thoughts the create our “reality” are deeply entrenched and are hard to move. As an example of changing thought patterns, I have been playing a game with myself when I have driving my car. A gentle and sensitive person I unfortunately seem to grow horns once I get behind the wheel. I am a safe driver these days but I am prone to get impatient and some of this has to do with my keen interest in motor racing and so I tend to treat driving my car like being in a Grand Prix and try to cover the distance required in the shortest possible time, whilst staying with in the speed limit. So this leads to a bit of swearing and derogatory names flung at other drivers. What I have been doing is adjusting my thought from the position of: “Get out of my way. I’m in hurry.” To: “Smooth, safe and calm.” Every time the aggression begins to rise, I move my thoughts to: “Smooth, safe and calm.” The effect on my driving is dramatic. I now flow with the traffic, retain my calm, which obviously makes a safer driver, who still seems to take the same amount of time to get to places. In the context of my selling I have found my set point thoughts to be: “I’m struggling because of the poor economy. If it wasn’t for that I would be doing well.” “Sales are hard to come by.” “I can’t earn what I want.” It’s pretty easy to see where I am going to end up with thoughts like that! So I am moving to: “I am a great sales person.” “I always attract sales easily.” “I am one of the top sales people in the company.” I find the difference palpable. On the days I remain calm and hold these thoughts then things always go well. Recently there have been days where it has been very quiet for most of the day and then I have made sales late and gone home happy. If it is quiet in the morning and I am beginning to feel a bit negative about how the day is going to be, I choose: “It’s not how you start. It is how you finish.” And: “I often make sales late in the day.” I find these help me allow sales to come to me. Once you think: “It’s a dead day.” Or you start thinking about telling your partner you’ve had a lousy, as I have done on occasion, you are interrupting the flow and it will certainly turn out as you expect. Move to more positive thoughts and reap the rewards! Happy selling! Graham.
